China’s AI Boom Revolutionizes Office Efficiency with Intelligent Products
As AI technology continues to evolve and make strides in China, a new wave of intelligent office products is revolutionizing the way white-collar workers conduct their business. From smart voice recorders to intelligent translation machines, these innovative tools are enhancing productivity and efficiency in the workplace.
Li Xue, a young professional in Hefei, capital of east China’s Anhui Province, swears by her portable smart voice recorder. This essential device for her meetings has not only solved numerous office challenges but also improved the efficiency of her work. The smart recorder swiftly transcribes the recording into text in real time, distinguishing different speakers and making minute-taking a breeze.
Similarly, university lecturer Jiang Ming finds great use in a smart office book. The book, equipped with a flexible ink screen, offers an experience akin to writing on paper. But it’s not just about handwriting – the smart book also supports voice input, automatic text generation, and e-book reading.
In the realm of foreign trade, Tan Dong leverages intelligent translation machines to bridge language barriers with business partners from various countries. These machines are capable of quickly translating languages such as Chinese, Korean, English, and French.
These high-tech products are not just limited to local use. Global technology companies are contributing to this trend among Chinese office workers. IFLYTEK, a leading player in China’s AI and intelligent speech industry, has developed an intelligent office service platform. This platform boasts an array of multi-scene AI products and services including voice-to-text, cloud conference, simultaneous translation, and subtitle services.
The IFLYREC app, launched by iFLYTEK in 2015, has garnered about 25 million registered users, according to Song Yuwen, the app’s brand manager. “Our products are gaining popularity in overseas countries like Japan as well, making life easier for more office workers,” Song added.
The intelligent mobile office market in China has seen consistent growth from 2019 to 2022. Market size has escalated from 28.8 billion yuan (approximately 4.03 billion U.S. dollars) to 70 billion yuan and is projected to hit 100 billion yuan in 2023, as per S&P Consulting.
In May, MiMouse, a high-tech company, released the latest version of a smart mouse equipped with a large language model (LLM). In just two months, around 70,000 units were sold. The smart mouse uses LLM’s intelligent algorithm and data processing capabilities to create articles, codes, poems, forms, and documents based on voice input requirements.
“The mouse can help alleviate the repetitive tasks of office workers,” stated Feng Haihong, general manager of MiMouse. He believes that the smart office market still holds immense potential.
Intelligent office products are not only limited to these devices. The best sit stand desks and electric height adjustable standing desks are also gaining popularity for their health benefits. These desks allow workers to alternate between sitting and standing positions throughout the day, reducing the health risks associated with prolonged sitting.
As AI technology continues to advance and integrate into our daily lives, the use of intelligent office products in China is expected to flourish further. This trend is set to redefine the traditional concept of an office and pave the way for a smarter and more efficient workspace.
